The Adult Celiac Disease Program at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago provides patients with access to a multidisciplinary program to diagnose, treat and manage celiac disease in adults. Our team of physicians includes specialists in the area of allergy and immunology, dermatology, endocrinology, gynecology, hematology, neurology and rheumatology.

At Rush, we recognized that individuals with celiac disease often face years of misdiagnosis and questions and frustrations with living a gluten-free lifestyle. About the Clinical Team
The Adult Celiac Disease Program at Rush is led by Mark T. DeMeo, MD, director of the Section of Gastroenterology and Nutrition. A member of the Advisory Board of the Celiac Sprue Association of Greater Chicago, Dr. DeMeo is a nationally recognized expert in the field of celiac disease.

Susan L. Mikolaitis, RD, LDN, CSND, provides patients of the Adult Celiac Disease Program with nutrition services to manage their disease. Sue has more than 20 years specifically focused on nutrition and gastrointestinal diseases, specifically in the area of gluten-free diets.
